I have been interested in tattoos since I was very young. My Dad has a big snake and dagger on his forearm that I always admired. I have been drawing since I could hold a crayon. I realized I wanted to tattoo when I was a teenager. It took a few years of getting tattooed and showing my artwork to tattooers to get an apprenticeship. I was very lucky to work with and also apprentice under very talented and knowledgeable artists at Eternal Body Art. I also owe a lot of thanks to Shawn McLean who was a great inspiration and help with my tattooing.
How long have you been tattooing?
I have been tattooing since 2005 and love every minute of it.
What makes you stand out from other artists?
I love art, and spend lots off my off time drawing and painting. I want to do the best tattoos possible, and I work very hard at making my artwork better and better. When I'm not tattooing I also enjoy painting in acrylics. You can view some of my artwork hanging in our studio.
What have been your challenges?
It was hard to make it through and apprenticeship while raising a family. I'm married with two daughters. All though challenges in art are what makes tattooing very enjoyable. I love trying out new styles and techniques.
What would you say your specialty is?
I would say I specialize in Black and Grey, Traditional American Art, and Japanese art. I also enjoy New School and other styles of tattooing. I mostly enjoy making custom tattoos. If you want something original, I'm more than happy to design a one of a kind tattoo.
Do you have any closing remarks?
If you have any questions or want a tattoo designed, stop by our studio and our staff or I can help you.
